Information provided by Charnwood Borough Council

The Healthy Hearts Day is a partnership between Charnwood Borough Council, the Loughborough Forum of Older People and other local community and voluntary groups. It is currently an annual event targeting residents of Charnwood aged 50 years plus.

The day offers residents of Charnwood the opportunity to experience a variety of physical, social and educational activities with a view to encouraging long-term participation in line with 'Our Healthier Nation' targets of coronary heart disease, cancers, accidents and mental health.

The day is also used to inform all participants with details of sport, leisure, social and educational opportunities within Charnwood. Whether it is learning a new skill, or going back down memory lane to take up an old past time hobby, the Healthy Hearts Day provides the perfect opportunity for Charnwood residents to become aware of what is happening on their doorstep.

Details of the 2005 Healthy Hearts Scheme will appear here soon
