The Global All-Stars

Sports-Link and Leicestershire County Council- Youth Service are working in partnership to promote cohesion through the creation of a 'World United' Football Team called the Global All-Stars. The Global All-Stars project aims to promote unity and friendship and undertake work around cultural and personal differences and cohesion.
The concept is to create a football team consisting of participants living in Charnwood from different cultural backgrounds. The project received £3900 funding from the Community Cohesion Pathfinder Youth Community Champions Fund.
It is envisaged that the Global All-Stars will be made up of participants representing the following origins; Albanian, Bangladeshi, Iraqi, Iranian, Kosovan, Afghani, and British. It is envisaged that the Global All-Stars will travel around the country promoting cohesion, and fair play whilst playing a few games on their travels.
