The Big Lottery Fund was created by the merging of the Community Fund and the New Opportunity Fund to create a single new lottery distributer. The Big Lottery Fund was launched on 1 June 2004, and will build on the experience of both organisations to simplify funding in those areas where the two organisations previously overlapped. The Big Lottery Fund will continue to fund charities, voluntary sector, health, education and the environment, but will also take on the Millennium Commissions ability to fund regeneration projects. The Big Lotteries fund offers a range of different types of funding programmes. Fore more information click on the link below: |
