The Final of the inaugural Freedom of Football Tournament took place on the 24 February 2007 at Loughborough University. Kurdish football teams from Loughborough, Peterborough, Leicester, London and Birmingham participated in the final stages of the competition. The event was a huge success and enjoyed by over 200 spectators and 150 footballers.
