Sports-Link and the Primary Care Trust organised a health education talk on tobacco chewing products on Wednesday 3 May 2006. The information session was an opportunity for women living in Charnwood to explain why chewing tobacco products including Paan was so popular. Health professionals also explained the dangers and possible effects of chewing tobacco. The event was informative for both health care professionals and participants who attended.
